News October 2023

On that day, we are preparing for a pilgrimage to Hájek, where there will be a Holy Mass at 11 o'clock. The first Friday of this month begins our regular adorations of the Eucharist, which will start at 5 PM and conclude at 5:45 PM with a prayer of litanies to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and a consecratory prayer.

In the week of October 1 there will be no regular Bible study on Tuesday. On Thursday at 7 PM, we will have a gathering at the Club to discuss the Scripture and the topic. The invitation to the parish pilgrimage to Hájek is attached to this article. Next week, there will be a children's Mass at 9 AM, followed by parish coffee. We ask for the provision of refreshments. Thank you in advance.

In the week of October 8, there will be a regular online catechism class on Tuesday. We will continue with the topic of Christology from the events of the Nicaean Council. On Thursday at 7 PM, there will be a meeting of the parish pastoral council at the Domov Club. I would like to invite the children who received the Eucharist for the first time this year to the pilgrimage for first communicants at the cathedral on Saturday, October 21, at 9:00 AM at the cathedral. Detailed information about the meeting can be found on the archbishopric website.

In the week of October 15, there will be an opportunity to attend a concert by the vocal group Oktogon after the Mass on Sunday. The poster is attached to the article; the concert will begin after the Mass. On Tuesday, we will have an online Bible study at 8:30 PM.

In the week of October 22, there will be an online catechism class on Tuesday at 8:30 PM. We will continue with the topic of Christology. Next Sunday, Patrik Uher will be baptized during the Mass. Next Sunday, the time will change from summer to winter. We will sleep one hour longer. Starting from October 23, the Saturday, Sunday, and evening bus connections of route 164 have been moved earlier. They now depart 7 minutes earlier from the center and 9 minutes earlier to the center.

I recommend your attention to a discussion with Prague organologist Štěpán Svoboda, who will introduce us after the Mass at the Club to the state of our organ and propose the best solutions. The meeting will be on Sunday, October 22, after the Mass, i.e., approximately at 10 AM.

I wish you blessed autumn days.

Řehoř J. Žáček.
