In the week of November 6, Bishop Václav Malý will celebrate the Sunday Mass on November 6 in our parish. The collection for Sunday, November 6 is for the charitable activities of the Archdiocese. After the holy mass, there will be parish coffee. Please, if you can bring some refreshments, I thank you in advance. On Tuesday, a chapter meeting will take place at Strahov, which is a full-day meeting — for this reason, there will be no evening holy mass or online meeting. On Wednesday at 7 PM, there will be a lecture by Father Joe, a missionary in Myanmar, in the Church of the Holy Family; more information is in the leaflet attached. On Friday at 5 PM, there will be the traditional St. Martin's procession. The program starts at 5 PM at the Church of the Holy Family, and the festive holy mass will be at 6:30 PM at St. Martin's Church (there will be no mass at the Church of the Holy Family). Next Sunday, there will be a collection for Catholic media. It will be conducted in the form of postal orders, but you can also send the amount directly to the account: 45301130/2700 with the variable symbol: 9307300220. In the week of November 13, there will be an online catechism class on Tuesday. The above-mentioned collection for Catholic media is still ongoing. I thank everyone who participated in the celebration with Bishop Malý last Sunday, especially the musicians, as well as for preparing the parish coffee. I also thank you for the help with organizing Father Joe's visit to our parish and also to the translators. I also thank you for all the help in organizing the celebrations of St. Martin in our parish. I would like to draw your attention in advance to the spiritual renewal of the parish, which will again take place at the Strahov Monastery on Saturday, December 3, from 9 AM to about 3 PM. The number of participants is not limited, but I kindly ask for timely registration here on the parish website. The poster is attached to this article.
In the week of November 20, there will be no online meeting on Tuesday. I ask for additional helpers for cleaning the Church of the Holy Family. The number of volunteers who can register has been increased to 4, which should help with faster work. I once again invite you to the parish spiritual renewal at Strahov. The poster is in the article attachment. Next Sunday, Advent wreaths will be blessed at the beginning of the holy mass. Please place your wreaths in front of the altar on the floor before the mass.
In the week of November 27, we will start the Advent season. At the beginning of the masses, we will bless the Advent wreaths. On Tuesday at 7:30 PM, there will be a Taizé prayer in the Church of the Holy Family. From 8:30 PM onwards, there will be an online biblical class. On Thursday at 7 PM, there will be a meeting at the Club for those who participated in the Renewal in the Spirit seminar; others interested are also invited. On Saturday at 9:00 AM, there will be a parish spiritual renewal at Strahov. Please register by Wednesday if possible. Next Sunday's mass will have elements for children (a sermon, bringing gifts, a song after Holy Communion). After the holy mass on December 4, there will be parish coffee. The Advent rorate will take place every Saturday at 7:00 AM in the Church of the Holy Family.
