News from November 29, 2020

However, we can celebrate services with a limited number of participants, 20 people, which covers the need for visitors on weekdays, but for the Sunday Holy Mass, it is necessary to register using the registration form here on the website. For now, everything continues as before: Holy Mass on weekdays will be at:

Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat at 6 PM at the Church of the Holy Family (no reservation)
Sun at 8 AM at the Church of St. Martin (with reservation, will be broadcast on YouTube), followed by the opportunity to receive the Eucharist between 9 and 10 AM.

Advent rorate will be on Saturday at 6:30 AM at the Church of the Holy Family.

On Sunday, November 29, we enter the new liturgical year with the 1st Sunday of Advent. During the Holy Mass, Advent wreaths will be blessed. Those who will be at the Holy Mass in the Church of St. Martin may bring their wreaths with them. For those who will be connected to us via the YouTube broadcast, the wreath will be blessed during the broadcast; the candles should be lit only after the blessing prayer.

On the evening of November 28 at 6 PM, there will be a festive Vespers at Strahov, marking the start of the jubilee year of 900 years since the founding of the order of the Premonstratensians. The festive Vespers at the Strahov Basilica will be presided over by Cardinal Dominik Duka, with the Apostolic Nuncio Charles Daniel Balvo and the General Abbot of the Premonstratensian Order Jos Wouters present. At the Vespers, new bells for the Strahov Basilica will be blessed. The following day, Sunday, November 29, at 10 AM, there will be a solemn Holy Mass accompanied by singing of old Czech rorate. Both events will be broadcasted on TV Noe and you can also watch it on YouTube of the Strahov Monastery.

Since we have not organized Bible hours or catechism classes for a longer time, I will try to organize them in an online format. Please keep an eye on these pages where details about the events will be published and how you can register for the online meetings. Thank you.
