News December 19, 2020

Services should not take place with communal singing, and the number of singers is limited to just 5 individuals. Given that we have the Christmas holidays ahead, we must respond to these regulations:

  • where possible, I have added more Holy Masses for the major holidays against the original plan, so that as many of you as possible have a chance to attend Mass
  • please use the reservation system for these festive services to simplify the distribution of participants as much as possible and to avoid exceeding the allowed numbers
  • please offer reservations to older parishioners who do not have internet access (any valid email address can be used for reservations)

I am aware that the current situation does not give us many options. I couldn't think of a better way to prepare for the celebration of Christmas. Therefore, I kindly ask for your consideration, tolerance, and willingness.

We ask for help with monitoring the nativity scene at St. Martin on December 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, and then January 1st and 3rd; you can sign up on the notice board at the Holy Family or with Mr. Suchel, tel. 605 908 218.

On Monday, December 21st, there will be a day of confession for the parish. From 4:30 PM to 6 PM, it will be possible to access the sacrament of reconciliation at the Church of the Holy Family.

On Christmas Eve, there will be two Holy Masses in the afternoon (3 PM and 4 PM). This is because the Mass at 4 PM is often well attended by families who rarely go to church. Therefore, I kindly ask those of you who can to attend the earlier Mass at 3 PM.

On Christmas Day, December 25th, and on the feast of St. Stephen, there will be Holy Masses at 9 AM and 10:30 AM.

On the feast of the Holy Family on Sunday, December 27th, there will be Holy Masses as on any Sunday, meaning at 7:45 AM and 9:00 AM. Since this day also coincides with the feast of St. John the Evangelist, wine will be blessed at the end of the Holy Mass, which you may bring and place before the altar.

I wish you a peaceful and blessed Christmas, good health, and I look forward to seeing you.
